East 91st Street Christian Church

This multi-phase church expansion project included a 4,650 sq. ft. addition to the sanctuary with two new transepts featuring dual-level seating and large-span balcony beams—eliminating interim columns. A fast-tracked schedule significantly reduced construction time, while innovative steel helical piers, rarely used in the state, provided foundation support and saved the owner approximately $50,000. The Narthex Expansion added new gathering space at the main entrance, completed while maintaining full access for daily church operations. A new 34,900 sq. ft. Education Wing was constructed using precast panels and structural steel, connecting seamlessly to the existing facility. Interior renovations to the Children’s Wing included a new classroom, nurse’s office, check-in area, kitchenette, and laundry—executed while the church remained fully operational for over 5,000 weekly attendees.
