Franklin Park

Plainfield, IN

This comprehensive park renovation project includes the construction of eight brand-new pickleball courts and two updated tennis courts, enhancing recreational offerings for the community. A major component of the scope is the full renovation of the existing baseball diamond, which now features a modern irrigation system and newly installed foul ball netting for improved safety. The project also includes the creation of a new dog park, providing a dedicated and secure space for pet owners. The children’s play area has been completely renovated, featuring new playground equipment and a safe, durable pour-in-place rubber surface. During construction, careful logistics planning ensured minimal disruption to the park and surrounding neighborhood. The Vandalia Trail remained open throughout part of the construction timeline and was closed post-marathon to accommodate final phases of the project. This park and recreational facility upgrade reflects a strategic investment in public space improvements and community well-being.
