Plainfield Fire Station #123

Plainfield, IN

This project involved the renovation and modernization of Fire Station 123, a two-story, four-bay facility featuring a prominent three-story training tower. The renovation aimed to enhance both functionality and energy efficiency, incorporating a geothermal cooling system, increased use of natural daylight, and energy-efficient lighting throughout the station. Interior upgrades included the demolition and renovation of locker rooms, as well as the addition of high-tech training rooms, a confined-space safety training area, and a fully equipped multi-media room to support advanced firefighter education. Structural improvements and building systems updates included new wood-framed risers, concrete upgrades, and updated plumbing and storm piping. The renovated station now serves as a high-performance, sustainable facility tailored to meet the operational and training demands of modern fire service professionals.
