This project involved the ground-up construction of a new 3-story Arts and Education Center, designed to serve as a dynamic hub for creative learning, technology, and community engagement. The facility includes a fully equipped auditorium, flexible classrooms, a media room, serving kitchen, administrative offices, and state-of-the-art computer labs, all thoughtfully designed to support a wide range of educational programs and events.
The building was constructed with full ADA accessibility, including the integration of accessible ramps to ensure inclusivity and compliance with current standards. Extensive HVAC, plumbing, and electrical construction was completed to support the building’s high-performance systems and technical needs.
In the auditorium, specialized features include telescopic seating, a professional lighting grid, and a large projection screen to accommodate performances, presentations, and multi-use events. Accordion partitions were installed throughout the facility to provide flexible space configurations for both large and small group use. In a nod to the site’s history, pre-existing limestone veneers were carefully salvaged and reused, blending modern construction with timeless architectural elements. This project stands as a modern, versatile facility that supports innovation in the arts and education while preserving a connection to its architectural roots.
